Winner and loser of the week in Florida Politics
Sorry, no winner this week.
Loser of the week
Alan Grayson. Ever since the Tampa Bay Times revealed the populist congressman from Orlando had set up a hedge fund in the Cayman Islands, there has been a "drip, drip, drip" of damaging information about the Democratic Senate candidate. The New York Times last week wrote about Grayson's intertwined work as a congressman and hedge fund manager — Grayson denounced the report as full of errors — prompting Senate Democratic Leader Harry Reid to call on Grayson to drop his Senate bid. Grayson "has no moral compass," Reid said, and his hedge fund activities "disgrace the halls of Congress."
Loser of the week II
Twix. Darn you, tasty caramel cookie bar! Marco Rubio had enough to worry about after his fifth-place New Hampshire primary finish. Then he broke a tooth eating a partially frozen Twix.
