Horses vs. Hockey
Once again, NBC’s Stanley Cup playoff coverage could bump into the network’s horse racing coverage. Two years ago, the network had to switch a playoff game over to Versus when the game went into overtime and NBC started its Preakness broadcast. Saturday offers another potential conflict.
A spokesman with NBC told Two Cents if Game 1 between the Penguins and Capitals goes past one overtime, the network will switch the game over to Versus in order to start its Kentucky Derby coverage. NBC, however, will stay with the game until its conclusion in Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C.
