Sports Emmy winners announced

Costas The Sports Emmys were awarded Monday and the big winner was NBC, certainly helped by its coverage of the Beijing Olympics. NBC took home 10 Emmys, followed by HBO (eight) and ESPN (six). NBC Sports chairman Dick Ebersol was honored with a lifetime achievement award. Some of the major winners:
Studio host: Bob Costas (NBC, HBO).
Play-by-play announcer: Jim Nantz (CBS)
Studio analyst: Terry Bradshaw (Fox), Tom Jackson (ESPN).
Event analyst: Cris Collinsworth (NFL Network, NBC).
Outstanding live sports special: U.S. Open golf (NBC).
Outstanding live sports series: Sunday Night Football (NBC).
Outstanding Sports Documentary: Breaking the Huddle (HBO).
Outstanding studio show (weekly): Inside the NFL (Showtime, NFL Films).
Outstanding studio show (daily): Inside the NBA Playoffs (TNT).
