Is "Rudy'' the best college football movie ever?

Movie With college football kicking off this week, MovieTickets.com polled nearly 25,000 people and asked them to pick the best college football movie of all time. The overwhelming winner was the ultimate underdog — Rudy, the 1993 movie about former practice squad player and walk-on Daniel "Rudy'' Ruettiger. More than half of those polled picked Rudy.

Missing from the list were two movies I would include: Everybody's All-American with Dennis Quaid and The Junction Boys, ESPN's highly watchable docu-drama about Texas A&M's brutal training camp in the summer of 1954 with Tom Berenger playing legendary coach Bear Bryant.

Anywhere here are MovieTickets.com official results:
1. Rudy (54 percent)
2. We Are Marshall (24 percent)
3. Other (13 percent)
4. The Program (6 percent)
5. Knute Rockne: All American (3 percent)
