There are few things in life more painful than what the Rays' Carl Crawford felt last night when he was hit between the legs with a baseball. And there are few things more awkward for a baseball announcer to announce than a player being hit between the legs with a baseball. So give Sun Sports analyst Brian Anderson some credit for describing what happened in the most tasteful way possible:

"Ladies and gentleman, that's precisely the reason why should always wear a cup,'' Anderson said.

By the way, is anyone else shocked by the fact that a major-league baseball player such as Crawford was playing without a cup? Oh, by the way, nice catch by Orioles' first baseman Ty Wigginton. Way to move your feet and stretch out there, big fella.
