Bucs still lacking respect
The Bucs might be 4-2 and, according to coach Raheem Morris the best team in the NFC, but they still aren't getting a ton of national exposure or respect. In his always-fun Monday Morning QB column on Sports Illustrated's Web site, senior NFL writer Peter King does not have the Bucs in his "Fine Fifteen.'' But he does have the 2-4 Vikings at No. 15. He writes, "I know. How can a 2-4 team be here over the Saints, Bucs or Seahawks? I give you the power of the column. Pick one. I'm not right. You're not right.''
In the end, I'm not sure anyone can have a beef with King leaving the Bucs out of his top 15. Sure, the Bucs are 4-2, but their four victories have come against teams with a combined record of 8-18. They've played two teams with winning records (Steelers and Saints) and were outscored 69-19. And I'm not sure that on a neutral field, the Bucs would be favored to beat any team in King's top 15, including the 2-4 Vikings.
