Bucs still way back in the pack
So, the Bucs finished last season by winning two of three. They had, by most accounts, a good draft. Their head coach has a year of experience under his visor and their quarterback isn't a wide-eyed rookie anymore. Plenty of reason for optimism, right? Not so fast, at least not according to Sports Illustrated senior football writer Peter King, who has the Bucs ranked 30th in his latest power rankings. King writes:
What I like about the Bucs: that the top five draft picks will get a chance to play right away, and a lot. What I don't like about the Bucs: that the top five draft picks will get a chance to play right away, and a lot.
The only teams ranked below the Bucs are the Bills and Rams. His top five: Packers, Chargers, Ravens, Colts and Saints. For King's entire list, click here.
