Canucks player grabs fan



Rick Rypien, a 26-year-old player for the Vancouver Canucks, has been suspended indefinitely by the NHL pending a hearing after grabbing a fan and shaking him Tuesday night at the Xcel Energy Center, home of Minnesota Wild. After a bit of a scrum in the front of the benches during the second period, Rypien was given a 10-minute misconduct. As he was walking toward the locker room, he reached up and grabbed a fan who appeared only to be clapping. Rangers and former Lightning coach John Tortorella was suspended a game for throwing a water bottle at a Caps fan in the 2009 playoffs. You have to figure Rypien is line for a pretty lengthy suspension. The guess here is five games. Here's a video of what happened:
