Former Bucs coach Jon Gruden told Cleveland Plain-Dealer football writer Tony Grossi that he plans on staying at ESPN at least two more years. Of course, Gruden's timetable could change depending on what coaching jobs open up over the next 24 months, but it's clear now that Gruden isn't a one-and-done broadcaster. Many thought he would sit in the ESPN Monday Night Football booth for a year and then jump back into coaching. But he will definitely return for a second season in 2010 and is not going to take just any old job for the sake of dropping his microphone for a whistle. Gruden has said on several occasions that he misses coaching and has said he does see himself on the sidelines again someday. But he's in no hurry, nor should he be with the rave reviews he has received for his broadcast work.
