Cuban rips into NFL over draft schedule

Cuban Dallas Mavs owner Mark Cuban is never afraid to spout off about something and now he's even going after one of sports' heavyweights: the NFL. Cuban ripped into the NFL for having its draft compete with NBA playoff games. Cuban told the Dallas Morning News, "I just don't think the NFL is playing themselves out to be a good partner. You can't operate professional sports in a vacuum. ... It's a cyclical business. Always has been. Always will be. How you treat people when you're at the top is usually a good reflection on how they treat you when you're on your way down.''

Cuban pointed out that the NBA doesn't schedule games during the NCAA basketball championship. But it's clear the NFL isn't concerned with how its schedule affects other leagues. Earlier this week, the NFL released its 2010 regular-season schedule and has scheduled a game that likely will compete head-to-head with a World Series game.
