Dan Boyle's R-rated plan for Game 3
What a strange world Dan Boyle lives in. The former Lightning defenseman (and how painful is it for Lightning fans that you have to include the word "former'' in this sentence?) once played in the Stanley Cup final was his house was burning down. Then there was the time his skate fell from the sky and nearly sliced off his arm. Earlier in these playoffs, he scored an overtime goal -- for the other team. In between all these bizarro events, Boyle has managed to become one of the best players in the NHL.
But now his San Jose Sharks go into tomorrow night's Game 3 against the Blackhawks down 2-0 in the series. So what do you do? To quote the Eric "Otter'' Stratton from Animal House: "This situation absolutely requires a really futile and stupid gesture be done on somebody's part.''
And Boyle is just the guy to do it. Here's Boyle's game plan for the Sharks heading into Game 3:
"This is a good time for us to come together here and kind of raise our middle finger and just do it together.''
And we have our quote of the day. Please, no more callers, we have a winner. If he doesn't know how the gesture works, maybe he can just think back to what former Lightning co-owners Oren Koules and Len Barrie did to him before shipping him out of town.
