Five Rays spring games to be televised




Five of the Tampa Bay Rays spring training games will be televised either on Sun Sports or Fox Sports Florida. All the televised games are Rays home games at Port Charlotte. The spring TV schedule kicks off with the Rays-Red Sox on March 10 in what could be the first game new Red Sox leftfieder Carl Crawford plays against his former team. Here is the tentative TV schedule for the Rays spring:

Thursday, March 10: Red Sox at Rays, 1 p.m. (Sun Sports)
Tuesday, March 15: Marlin at Rays, 1 p.m. (Sun Sports)
Friday, March 18: Red Sox at Rays, 7 p.m. (FS Florida)
Monday, March 21: Yankees at Rays, 7 p.m. (FS Florida)
Wednesday, March 23: Phillies at Rays, 1 p.m. (Sun Sports)

In addition, the networks unveiled their lineup of Tampa Bay Rays television programs to be produced and aired on Sun Sports in 2011:

Tampa Bay Rays Season Preview: Sun Sports' Rays reporter/host Todd Kalas hosts the special previewing the upcoming season. It premieres March 21 at 6:30 p.m. with multiple replays until Opening Day.

Inside the Rays: Nine 30-minute HD episodes which highlights players and the organization. Features will develop as the season unfolds. Each episode will air approximately eight times on Sun Sports.

Tampa Bay Rays Post Season Special: Season review will air at the completion of the MLB season.
