Great moments in Tampa Bay Yucks history
Back in the spring of 1987, the Bucs drafted Heisman-winning Vinny Testaverde with the first overall pick in the NFL draft, so they shopped their starting quarterback, who was 3-16 as a starter with the Bucs. Somehow they managed to snooker the 49ers into giving them a second-round and a fourth-round pick. Seemed like a great deal until you find out that the QB the Bucs traded was ... Steve Young. Anyway, Bleacher Report lists its 10 biggest draft-day deals and the 49ers acquiring Young was third on the list. Of course, trades are in the eye of the beholder, so from the Bucs perspective, you might call this the 10 worst draft-day deals in NFL history. You can see Bleacher Report's take on the Young trade here.
