Jim Huber passes away
One of broadcasting's good guys has passed away. Jim Huber, who spent the past 27 years with Turner Broadcasting primarily on golf and NBA coverage, died Monday after recently being diagnosed with acute leukemia. He was 67.
A one-time anchor for the CNN/Sports Illustrated 24-hour network, Huber also authored three books, including Four Days in July, which was about Tom Watson's bid to win the 2009 British Open at age 59.
Before joining CNN in 1984, Huber covered the NFL for the Miami News and Atlanta Journal, where he also covered the NBA.
