Longoria among baseball's most marketable players
Rays slugger Evan Longoria is among baseball's most marketable players, according to a survey conducted by Sports Business Daily. In a poll of brand managers, marketing and branding executives, agencies and baseball media, Longoria was considered the sixth most marketable player in the majors and the second among players 25 years old or young. In the 25-and-under catagory, Longoria was second to Nationals pitching sensation Stephen Stasburg. Rays pitcher David Price was fourth among players 25-or-younger.
Derek Jeter topped the list of most marketable MLB players, followed by Albert Pujols, Joe Mauer, Strasburg, Ryan Howard, Longoria, Tim Lincecum, David Wright, Alex Rodriguez, Dustin Pedroia and Torii Hunter.
