NFL dominates television ratings



nfl-logo.gifThe nine most-watched television shows during the fall television season have been NFL games. The only non-NFL show to crack the top 10 since the start of the NFL season on Sept. 9 was a Sept. 27th episode of Dancing With The Stars. The top nine were all NFL games, either the national game on Fox or CBS or the NBC Sunday night game.

Here are the 10 most-watched shows since the start of the NFL season.

2. NBC Thursday Night Kickoff Game (Vikings-Saints), Sept. 9
27.5 million

3. CBS Sunday National (mostly Patriots-Jets), Sept. 19
27.0 million
4. FOX Sunday National (mostly Cowboys-Vikings), Oct. 17
26.0 million

5. NBC Sunday Night Football (Cowboys-Redskins), Sept. 12
25.3 million

6 (tie). CBS Sunday National (mostly Colts-Broncos), Sept. 26
23.1 million
6 (tie). FOX Sunday National (mostly Redskins-Eagles), Oct. 3
23.1 million
6 (tie). NBC Sunday Night Football (Giants-Colts), Sept. 19

9. FOX Sunday Single (mostly Cowboys-Texans & Eagles-Jaguars), Sept. 26
