NFL's most overrated players
Sports Illustrated polled 239 NFL players before the season and asked them to name the NFL's most overrated players. The winner -- or loser, you might say -- was Bengals wide receiver Terrell Owens, who received 14 percent of the vote. Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo came in second at 7 percent, following by a tie for third between Jets quarterback Mark Sanchez and Redskins defensive lineman Albert Haynesworth. Giants quarterback Eli Manning rounded out the top five by picking up 4 percent of the vote. You could tell the poll was taken before the season because Owens, Sanchez and Manning are having solid seasons. Owens has 31 catches in five games. Sanchez has thrown from 1,100 yards in six games with nine TDs and two interceptions while leading the Jets to a 5-1 record. Manning has led the Giants to a 4-2 record. No arguments, however, with Romo and Haynesworth being on the list.
