Rays are a hit with fans

Crawford The Rays rank second among Major League Baseball teams and sixth overall in ESPN The Magazine's Ultimate Standings, which measure how much MLB, NBA, NFL and NHL franchises give back to the fans.

The standings are based on eight categories, as determined by fans: bang for the buck, fan relations, ownership, affordability, stadium experience, players' effort and likability, coaching and championships.

The Rays rank second in bang for the buck (wins during the past three years per revenues directly from fans, adjusted for league schedules) and third in affordability (price of tickets, parking and concessions). They get docked (ranking 106th out of 122 teams) for stadium experience.

Overall, the New Orleans Saints rank first and the Orlando Magic second. The Los Angeles Angels (3rd) are the only baseball team ahead of the Rays.

The Lightning are 70th, the Bucs, well, 99th.
