Somebody in soccer likes the Glazers

Most Manchester United fans aren't crazy about the Glazer Family owning its team, but Major League Soccer commissioner Don Garber said Man U fans should be pleased with the Bucs' owners. Check out this post from Inside World Football where Garber talks about the Glazers, including this quote:

"If I were a Manchester United fan I'd be feeling pretty good about my team. They're winning trophies. They're powerful and popular around the world, and I'm not quite sure what all the hubbub is about. But I don't live there. I think they're great guys and they love their teams. One thing I'll say, because most people don't know this, is they love football. I know they love the NFL, but they love Manchester United. They deeply care about that team.''

Manchester United, by the way, defeated the MLS All-Stars, 5-2, Wednesday night in Houston.

Meantime, Man U manager, Sir Alex Ferguson, told the Manchester Guardian, "I have to say they've done their job well. They support myself, the manager, they've supported the players. I've never been refused when I've asked for money for a player, so what can I do other than carry on the way we're doing it? … I've no complaints.''
