St. Pete Grand Prix draws solid TV numbers
The Honda Grand Prix of St. Petersburg on ABC Sunday drew a healthy 1.4 overnight television rating, the highest rating for an Indy race other than the Indianapolis 500 since July of 2007. The 1.4 rating equates to about 1-million households. That's not a great number compared to, say, the NCAA Tournament or even NASCAR, which drew a 4.1 (about 3.2-million households) for Sunday's race in California. But the 1.4 is well above the 0.8 rating that ABC's IndyCar races drew last year.
