Tebow, so far, not attending NFL draft

TebowOf the list of most embarrassing things in life, this one is ranks pretty high on the list: you're a college football star and you wait for your name to be called at the NFL draft. And you wait. And wait. And wait. With each pick that goes by, cameras focus on your face to see if you're going to break into tears. Well, could it be that Gators quarterback Tim Tebow is looking to avoid all that? The NFL has confirmed 16 players, so far, will be in New York for the draft. Tebow is not among them. Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen is also not on the list. Of course, both could end up going to New York.

So far, the list includes Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford, defensive tackles Ndamukong Suh (Nebraska) and Gerald McCoy (Oklahoma) -- expected to be the top three picks in the draft. Others on the list include running backs C.J. Spiller of California and Jahvid Best of Cal; cornerbacks Joe Haden of Florida and Brandon Ghee of Wake Forest; offensive tackles Russell Okung of Oklahoma State, Bryan Bulaga of Iowa and Trent Williams of Oklahoma; defensive tackles Lamarr Houston of Texas, Jared Odrick of Penn State and Dan Williams of Tennessee; defensive end Derrick Morgan of Georgia Tech; receiver Demaryius Thomas of Georgia Tech and safety Eric Berry of Tennessee.

The draft begins on April 22 with the first round in primetime. Perhaps Tebow is waiting for more assurances that he will be a first-round pick before deciding if he wants to attend.
