Tony Dungy's hard knocks on Rex Ryan
Former Bucs coach Tony Dungy said if he was in charge of an NFL team, he wouldn't hire Jets coach Rex Ryan. Not because of Ryan's ability to coach, but because of his salty language. In the first episode of HBO's Hard Knocks, a show that is following the Jets through training camp, Ryan was heard cursing almost constantly, including saying the trump card of swear words (you know the one) more than 30 times. While on Dan Patrick's radio show Monday, Dungy said, "If I were in charge, I wouldn't hire somebody like that.'' Patrick asked Dungy if NFL commissioner Roger Goodell should call Ryan and ask him to tone down his language, Dungy said, "I would hope that he does.''
