Things could not have gone much better for the Rays on their little two-game swing through the Bronx. The Rays completed the two-game sweep Thursday night by belting four homers in an 8-6 victory. Meantime, the mood in New York is a bit down, but certainly not in panic mode. Besides, the Big Apple is getting geared up for a weekend Subway Series between the Yankees and Mets.

Post You can read the New York Post game story here, as well as this column from the Post's Larry Brooks.

Click here for the New York Daily News game story and here for a column by John Harper. In the column, Harper writes:

As he said, "We know exactly how good they are. And they're going to be that good all year.''
Yes, you can almost see an ALCS coming in October between these teams, can't you?

Here's the game story from the New York Times, as well as a column about Jason Bartlett and the Rays by the NY Times' Tyler Kepner.

Finally, here's a column by Bob Klapisch of the Bergen Record from Thursday night's game.

Now the Rays are off to Houston for a three-game interleague series.
