What do Dave Winfield and John McEnroe have in common?

Dave Both are joining ESPN. The World Wide Leader has announced that Winfield and McEnroe have been added the network's stable of analysts.

Winfield, the baseball Hall of Famer, will join the Baseball Tonight crew and will work mainly on Sundays and select Mondays with host Karl Ravech and analysts Peter Gammons and John Kruk throughout the season.

"I've worked in and around baseball my entire life. This is an opportunity to stay connected with the entire sport, not just one team or league,” said Winfield. "Just like when I was playing, I can't wait for Opening Day!''Mac

Meantime, McEnroe, who ranks high on my short list of best analysts in any sport, will serve as an analyst when ESPN makes its debut at the U.S. Open beginning in late August. McEnroe will sometimes be paired with his younger brother Patrick and also appear on SportsCenter, ESPNEWS and ESPN Radio. McEnroe also will continue to work for CBS during the U.S. Open.
