Who is the MVP of the AL East?

crawford.Who is the most valuable player of the American League East? ESPN baseball analyst Bobby Valentine thinks the answer to that question is Rays leftfielder Carl Crawford. About Crawford, Valentine said, "He moved to the third spot in the lineup and a kept a very good team in contention the entire season.''

Meantime, Valentine also named Rays pitcher David Price one his three breakout players, along with the Reds' Joey Votto and the Blue Jays' Jose Bautista. About Price, Valentine said, "People have been waiting for him to emerge as a star pitcher and he has this season.''

As far as the MVPs of the other divisions, Valentine picked Atlanta's Martin Prado (NL East), Cincinnati's Joey Votto (NL Central), San Diego's Adrian Gonzalez (NL West), Detroit's Miguel Cabrera (AL Central) and Texas' Josh Hamilton (AL West). He selected Cincinnati's Dusty Baker as his manager of the year.
