Your next Lightning goalie?

The Lightning needs a No. 1 goalie. The Canadiens have two No. 1 goalies. They only need one. Sounds like a fit, eh? Now not everyone is convinced that Carey Price is a No. 1 goalie, but it seems likely that the Habs might shop his rights (he's an unrestricted free agent) this summer now that Jaroslav Halak has carried Montreal to the Eastern Conference final. The National Post lists several teams that might be interested in Price, including Lightning, Flyers, Thrashers, Blues and Devils. The paper speculates that the Lightning could give up the sixth overall pick in this summer's draft and a prospect such as Carter Ashton. That price seems a little high, but you wonder if the Lightning will talk to the Habs after the playoffs ... assuming the Lightning has a general manager. In case you missed it, Lightning beat writer Damian Cristodero writes that former Flyers goalie and current Los Angeles Kings assistant GM Ron Hextall is in the mix to be the Lightning's next GM. Check out his blog post here. You can also check out Carey Price's career numbers by clicking here.
