Internetexplorer What are the 30 "most important" innovations from the last 30 years? Well, PBS’ Nightly Business Report teamed up with "Knowledge at Wharton", the online research and business analysis journal of the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and came up with a list. No surprise to me, the Internet ranks No. 1. But the other 29 are fascinating choices.

Got some favorites here? Can you think of innovations left off this list that should have made it? My thoughts appear after the list. Comment, folks, comment!

Pretty cool list, detailed here. My Fab Five are (1) Internet, (2) DNA/Human genome mapping, (3) Microprocessors, (4) Mobile phones and (5) Microfinance.

What's missing? Maybe "miniaturized batteries" or "statin drugs" (cholesterol reducers). And what about Harry Potter?

Let's hear from you all on this one.
