With Brill in charge, Carvajal leaving Florida Chamber Foundation for Collins Center job
A shuffle at the top of the Florida Chamber Foundation, the Florida Chamber of Commerce's research arm and provider of public policy information. Tony Carvajal (photo, left) ran the foundation as executive vice president. You may have seen Tony help host the Future of Florida events in Orlando put on last fall by the Florida Chamber when Tony introduced the Foundation's "dashboard" of state economic data.
Well, Tony's leaving to join Tallahassee's Collins Center, a think tank where he will serve as director of state policy coordination. The move follows the announcement in December of Dale Brill (photo, right) as president of the Florida Chamber Foundation. Brill formerly served as the Crist Administration's director of Florida’s Office of Tourism, Trade & Economic Development, known as OTTED.
Says Betsy Couch, strategy director at the Florida Chamber Foundation: Tony will pursue "a research agenda with the Collins Center and his own doctoral work at Florida State University. He will continue to be involved in the Chamber Foundation as a member of the Foundation Advisory Council."
