Despite tough Florida economy, 21 banks in state remain top rated



This morning I gave you the glass half empty: 40 Florida banks rated "zero" star and in lousy shape. Here's that posting.

Now here's the glass half full. Here are the 21 Florida banks statewide that still manage to carry "5 star" ratings -- the highest possible, assigned by Bauer Financial. It is indeed impressive that some banks can still operate with such high safety and soundness standards in such economic times.
