Hulk Hogan's great reset: A $25 million house now on sale for 45 percent less
Here's a sign of the times, a sign of Florida's battered economy. In June 2006, Hulk Hogan (aka Terry Bollea) and his wife (at the time) put their Belleair home near Clearwater (in handout photo) on the market. The property at 130 Willadel Dr, Belleair FL 33756 has 7 bedrooms, 9.5 baths and more than 17,000 square feet. Asking price at the time: $25 million.
After a couple of tumultuous years that included a divorce by the Bolleas, their own Hogan Knows Best reality TV show and a terrible car accident caused by the son, the Hogan house is back on the market. Asking price now: $13.9 million. More details here at Zillow.
That's 45 percent off the original list price of three years ago.
(Ha! Try this on instead: A 19,000-square-foot home in Tampa's Avila community, on sale now by the bank that seized it, for just $2.72 million. Details here.) Is this high-end market nuts or what?
