Who's going to fill all that Circuit City space?
Short and sweet but here's a timely way to consider the impact of Circuit City's bankruptcy and going out of business. The 567 stores it plans to close this year (and 40,000 jobs to be eliminated) will leave behind a huge hole for shopping center owners to plug.
How huge? The 18.71 million square feet of space is like Tampa's Raymond James Stadium, where the Super Bowl was just played, multiplied by 11. Here's the full AP story on Circuit City's demise.
