A spotlight on long-term unemployed... and those who care

The generosity of the Tampa Bay community never ceases to amaze me. 

We wrote Saturday about the fight over whether to extend unemployment benefits yet one more time and the plight of long-term unemployed like Max Wysong of St. Petersburg, a cabinet maker out of work for three years who ran out of benefits in May. He's worried about caring for his five dogs. Calls/emails coming in over the weekend and today have offered to send him money, give him work and help care for his pets... Some are insisting on remaining anonymous.
