SEMINOLE — Opponents of the proposed sale of the Bardmoor Golf & Tennis Club to a developer will hold a rally at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at Finley’s Irish Pub and Eatery, 13477 Belcher Road in Largo. The "Save the Bardmoor'' rally is open to the public although hundreds of Bardmoor residents are expected to attend to discuss efforts to fight the sale and the potential construction of hundreds of homes on what is now a popular golf course.

The developers under contract to buy the club, Wheelock Communities and Gentry Land, still plan to hold their own meeting at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Aldersgate United Methodist Church, 9530 Starkey Road in Seminole. That will be their second meeting to seek comments from Bardmoor residents on what features they would want in a new master planned community.
