Home values in the Tampa Bay area will appreciate at a higher rate than nationally next year, though not by much. That's the conclusion of economists and real estate professionals surveyed by Zillow.

Nine experts predicted the bay area would outperform the nation while eight predicted it would under-perform. That gave Tampa Bay a net score of 1+, among the lowest for metro areas where home-value appreciation is expected to outpace the nation in 2019.

Denver, Washington D.C., Atlanta, Dallas and Las Vegas are expected to see the biggest jumps in home values. Chicago and Baltimore ranked the lowest in the survey.
