Deputy Managing Editor/Politics, Business
Amy Hollyfield is the deputy managing editor of politics and business for the Tampa Bay Times.
She oversees state and national political coverage, including bureaus in Tallahassee and Washington, and PolitiFact.com, PunditFact.com and PolitiFact Florida, the Times' fact-checking websites. She also manages the Times' partnerships with
the Miami Herald and POLITICO. In addition, Amy is responsible for business news, Perspective and Floridian magazine.
Hollyfield started her career at the Times as an intern in the sports department and also worked as a news designer. In 2007, shortly after the launch of PolitiFact, she became a writer/editor for the project, which was awarded the 2009 Pulitzer Prize for national reporting.
Amy was named deputy managing editor in June 2014.
A native of Michigan, she graduated from Northwestern University. Hollyfield has also worked for Florida Today and the Miami Herald.
