Jounice Nealy-Brown
Jounice Nealy-Brown was named Communications Director in December 2009 and is responsible for internal and external communications. She has experience both in the news and business divisions of the company.
A journalist by training, she began her career at the Times in 1997 as a staff writer in News. In 2002, Jounice moved to the business side as staffer communications manager. Since then she has worked in Sales & Marketing, having served as retention manager and acquisition & retention manager. Jounice was the Times' brand manager before being named communications director.
Prior to joining the Times, Jounice was a reporter at the Palm Beach Post.
Jounice is a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc., a public service sorority; president of the Suncoast Schools Federal Credit Union’s Pinellas Advisory Board; a former board member of the Paul R. Hortin Child Development Center; and an active member of Bethel Community Baptist Church.
In 1993, Jounice graduated summa cum laude from the Annenberg Honors program at Howard University in Washington, D.C. She has a degree in print journalism with a minor in business. She earned her MBA, with top honors and a specialization in management, in 2001 from the University of Miami.
She is married to Brent, and they have two children.
