Joe DeLuca is a vice president and is publisher of both the Tampa edition of the Times and tampabay.com He has overall responsibility for leading strategic growth initiatives in Hillsborough and central and east Pasco counties, and he also serves as publisher of tbt* , the company's free daily tabloid. Joe’s current leadership portfolio also includes Consumer Marketing and Operations. He serves on the company’s executive team and board of directors. Joe originally joined the Times in 2001 as Director of Operations and was named a vice president and director of Operations in 2005.

 Joe has broad newspaper experience beginning his career in 1979 as a sports writer and general assignment reporter for Imprint Newspapers, where he later held the positions of Circulation Manager and Operations Manager. He spent five years as General Manager of Imprint Printing for Capital Cities/ABC in North Haven, Conn.,  responsible for production and distribution of 70 weekly newspapers and 50 monthly publications as well as catalogs and periodicals. As Manager of Graphics and Administrative Ser vices for Hamilton Standard, a United Technologies aerospace manufacturer, Joe was responsible for the design, printing and distribution of all technical manuals and marketing materials. Joe then spent four years as Production Director of the Hartford (Conn.) Courant, where he also managed the newspaper’s commer­cial printing division, including the printing of Investor’s Business Daily for the northeast region. 

Joe is a member of the regional board of directors for the Junior Achievement of West Central Florida, where he is board secretary, and he is a classroom instructor for the public high school Success Skills program. He is also a member of the Tampa Bay Partnership’s board of directors, and holds the position of treasurer for the Florida Press Service board of directors.   He is a member of the board of directors for the Tampa Bay Times Fund.  
 
Joe is a graduate of the University of Hartford with a bachelor’s degree in communications.
