Jennifer Orsi was named managing editor of the Tampa Bay Times in June 2014, and oversees day to day news operations for the newspaper and its website, She has worked at the Times nearly her entire journalistic career. After two internships, Jennifer joined the Times full-time as a reporter in 1988. She worked as a reporter in Brandon, Tampa and Carrollwood, and has held a series of editing jobs at the newspaper including political coordinator, bureau chief, Tampa metro editor, assistant managing editor/metro and deputy managing editor for metro and business. She is the first woman to solely hold the title of managing editor.

Jennifer is a member of the board of trustees of the Tampa Bay Times Fund, the board of directors of Florida Trend magazine and the board of directors of the Florida Society of News Editors. She served as a juror for the Pulitzer Prizes in 2014 and 2015. She grew up in the Clearwater and Dunedin area and graduated from Dunedin High School. She received a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and history from Indiana University. She lives in Tampa with her husband and two children.
