The Times is looking for experienced project managers to lead initiatives for our team of talented technologists in delivering solutions that showcase our award-winning news and information. These positions will work across our multiple platforms, including web & mobile applications for both consumer facing and internal use. Ideal candidates can provide a clear path to complete complex projects while fostering teamwork. They can manage multiple projects, using a variety of common project methodologies. They’ll work closely with technologists; business stakeholders and vendors to ensure responsibilities are clear, accountability is held, and needs are met.

·       Ensures projects are tracked and managed from start to finish

·       Able to get work done through employees and vendors alike

·       Tracks, reports and communicates progress to stakeholders -- eliminating potential surprises

·  Ensures testing, requirements gathering, business continuance considerations, project sign-offs and financial tracking occur

·       Anticipates and resolves problems throughout a project’s life cycle

·       Focuses team efforts so there’s shared ownership and deep commitment to deliver results

·     Monitors progress and makes necessary adjustments to ensure customers get what they need when they need it

·       Bachelor of Arts or Science degree or experience equivalent

·       Experience with various project management tools, software and methodologies (experience with Agile and Waterfall methodologies a must)

·       Professional certification (PMP, Certified Scrum Master) or equivalent qualifications a plus

·       Minimum of 10 years experience as a PM

·       Proven ability to lead teams and overcome problems through personal influence

·       Proven ability to document and improve business processes

·       Enthusiastic, high-energy, positive personality that acts as the glue within, and across teams.

·    Expert at conflict resolution and able to facilitate discussions that include outside the box alternatives and approaches

·       Strong analytical and problem solving skills

·       Detail-oriented and highly organized
