The goal of the Barnes Scholarship program is to help smart students afford the college education they deserve. But the stories of these young people -- above and beyond their GPA and test scores -- are what inspire us every year. The Barnes Scholarship is more than just helping kids get to college. The scholarship is about honoring them for their resilience and determination and for having big dreams.

The Barnes Scholarship program launched in 1999 and sent the first four students off to college in 2000. You can read about them and the other students who have been winners of the Barnes Scholarship below.
