American Idol runnerup Adam Lambert, right, spilled the beans in the latest issue of Rolling Stone that, yes, you were right, he's gay. Also, there's no Santa Claus, it gets hot in the summer and tickets to a Yankees game cost too much.

"I don't think it should be a surprise for anyone to hear that I'm gay," Lambert says in an interview. "I've been living in Los Angeles for eight years as a gay man."

The fun part of the dirt comes, however, when he reveals that he had a crush on his nemesis (on the show, anyway) and eventual victor, with whom he roomed during the show.

"I was like, 'Oh, s---, they put me with the cute guy,' " Lambert says. "Distracting! He's the one guy that I found attractive in the whole group on the show: nice, nonchalant, pretty and totally my type – except that he has a wife. I mean, he's open-minded and liberal, but he's definitely 100 percent straight."

We'll bet Mrs. Allen is glad to hear that. So does Adam want the gay thing to be a big deal? Certainly not.

"I embrace it," he says. "It's just another part of me. … I'm trying to be a singer, not a civil rights leader."

'Saved by the Bell' reunion?

Former Saved by the Bell star Mark-Paul Gosselaar showed up on Late Night with Jimmy Fallon on Monday night dressed in character as teen idol Zack Morris — retro blond haircut, stone-washed jeans and all (see the video at blogs.tampabay.com/80s). Promoting Raising the Bar, Gosselaar even played the Zack Attack song Friends Forever with Fallon's house band and confirmed that he'd be on a Saved by the Bell reunion project. "Like a class reunion?" he asked. "Well sure, I'd love to see the old gang again!" If only holdouts Tiffani Amber Thiessen and Dustin Diamond were so ready to agree.

Madge can adopt now

Three appeals judges have been persuaded by Madonna to let her adopt Malawian orphan Mercy James and — OH, MY GOD, does anyone still care about this? The U.K.'s Sun reports that two judges have submitted reports okaying the sale, uh, adoption, and a third is "in complete unison with them." A ruling is supposedly being announced on Sunday. Apparently the judges feel that a rule requiring that Madge live in the country for a period of 18 months prior to adopting the little girl is out of date.

Leo, Bar split — or do they?

Good news for stalkers and obsessive fans: It looks like Leonardo DiCaprio and Bar Refaeli are on a break. "They're taking time off for the time being, they've split," a source tells People. "It could just end up as a break but for now they're doing their own thing." That includes the 23-year-old Sports Illustrated cover girl going to the 11th Annual Young Hollywood Awards all alone while DiCaprio, 34, went to a nightclub in NYC. But don't believe everything you read. Us quotes another source that says "they are still together." And just hours after the People item broke, they were photographed at a Barnes & Noble in Hollywood (we're sure that's a coincidence).

Miley, Justin split — or do they?

While we question whether Leo and Bar are still together, we can also speculate on Miley Cyrus and her 20-year-old underwear model boyfriend Justin Gaston. E! News says they also have broken up, just in time for Miley to head to Savannah, Ga., to film The Last Song. Miley's running back to Nick Jonas for comfort (that sap). In fact, Nick was the problem all along. "She obviously has been hanging out with Nick again a lot," a source tells E!. "She didn't cheat, but I guess Nick was trying to get her back the whole time."
