Radcliffe nude in 'Potter' sequel
Get ready to see a lot more of your favorite wizard, as director David Yates said Daniel Radcliffe will appear nude in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Yates told the U.K.'s Telegraph that nudity will be involved in a scene in which Radcliffe and Rupert Grint are fighting a monster, and the beast shows naughty stuff of Danny and Emma Watson to Grint's character, Ron Weasley. "We'll create something that feels very sexy and very intriguing to bring about a reaction in Rupert," the director said. "Dan has appeared nude in the past. There are a couple of scenes in the new film in which he will undress, but we're still thinking about how we present it." This also includes a scene at King's Cross station, in which Harry is nude after being almost killed and sees Dumbledore, which is unsettling in several different ways. But the real problem is what Yates says is his favorite scene: "It's where Hermione and Harry dance together and is not in the book. It's something we create for the film and is actually very tender," he said. "They also reveal some secrets about each other while dancing."
Lambert back on ABC Thursday, but not live
We were really starting to wonder if Adam Lambert had made himself persona non grata at ABC forever, but never fear, he'll be back this week. Set your DVRs now. Adam will show up on The View this Thursday (although not live, "because people seem to be afraid of what he'll do" Barbara Walters said on Monday's show), Us reports. Then he'll be allowed to perform once again on Walters' Friday special, The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2009. "ABC has taken a step towards fairness by inviting Adam Lambert to perform on The View," Jarrett Barrios, president of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation, told the mag. "GLAAD has been advocating against the double standards that have been applied to Lambert as an openly gay performer."
Crash ends Weezer tour; Rivers Cuomo injured
Weezer has canceled the rest of the dates on its December Raditude tour after Rivers Cuomo's tour bus crashed on the New York Thruway early Sunday, the band posted on its Web site. Cuomo is recovering from injuries after the bus slipped on a patch of ice, went over a guardrail and landed in a ditch. "We are sorry to say that the rest of the tour has been canceled," band member Karl Koch wrote on the site. Cuomo "cracked three ribs and sustained some mostly minor but very painful internal damage," Koch wrote. Cuomo's assistant, Sarah Kim, was discharged from a hospital in Amsterdam, N.Y., on Sunday, while Rivers remains under observation at another facility. Wife Kyoko Ito and daughter Mia were not injured in the crash. The bus was headed to Boston.
Billy Joel's daughter okay after overdose of drugs
Billy Joel's daughter Alexa Ray Joel is staying with her dad for now after landing in a New York hospital on Saturday for an overdose on pills, the AP says. Alexa's publicist Claire Mercuri won't say where the 23-year-old is staying — Billy has homes in Manhattan and on eastern Long Island — but she is definitely with Billy after police got a 911 call Saturday saying she had taken eight pills of Traumeel, an herbal alternative to ibuprofen, Us says. "Took pills. Want to die," Alexa allegedly told the dispatcher after calling 911 herself. Police say it is not clear whether she accidentally overdosed or attempted suicide.
