Cutter Wood (Love and Death in the Sunshine State: The Story of a Crime) will discuss and sign his nonfiction book about a murder on Anna Maria Island at 6 p.m. May 14 at Bookstore1, 12 S Palm Ave., Sarasota.

The Gulfport Historical Society presents Bill DeYoung (Phil Gernhard, Record Man) discussing and signing his biography of a renowned music producer who got his start in the Tampa Bay area at 7 p.m. May 18 at the Gulfport History Museum, 5301 28th Ave. S.

Gilbert King (Beneath a Ruthless Sun) will discuss and sign his nonfiction book about a crime in Lake County at 4 p.m. May 19 at Inkwood Books, 1809 N Tampa St., Tampa.
