Cutter Wood (Love and Death in the Sunshine State) will discuss his nonfiction book about a murder on Anna Maria Island, in conversation with Tampa Bay Times writer Craig Pittman (Oh Florida! How America's Weirdest State Influences the Rest of the Country) at 6 p.m. May 10 at Inkwood Books, 1809 N Tampa St., Tampa.

Journalist David Margolick (The Promise and the Dream: The Untold Story of Martin Luther King, Jr. and Robert F. Kennedy) will discuss and sign his book at 11 a.m. May 11 at Bookstore1, 12 S Palm Ave., Sarasota.

Tristram Korten (Into the Storm: Two Ships, a Deadly Hurricane, and an Epic Battle for Survival) will discuss and sign his nonfiction book about the sinking of the Minouche and El Faro during Hurricane Joaquin at 6 p.m. May 11 at Inkwood Books.
