Seriously funny comedian George Lopez wrote about his Mexican heritage in his autobiography, Why You Crying? My Long, Hard Look at Life, Love, and Laughter. Known for his riffs on Chicano and Anglo culture, Lopez was one of the few Latinos to star in his own sitcom (ABC's George Lopez) and is set to host a talk show on TBS starting in November. He said his first version of golf was hitting lemons in the back yard. In April, he tied for 12th place at the Outback Steakhouse Pro-Am, where we asked him what he's reading these days.

What's on your nightstand?

Well, on my Kindle, Slash: The Autobiography, the story of Guns N' Roses. What a great teaching tool for kids, the Kindle. It's the greatest thing because I have dyslexia.

Do you read about comedy?

No, but I'm into Paper Tiger: An Obsessed Golfer's Quest to Play with the Pros (by Tom Coyne). He's got a little bit of George Plimpton in him.
