Book Talk

Meika Loe (Aging Our Way: Lessons for Living From 85 and Beyond) will discuss and sign her book at 2 p.m. today at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

Oncologist and hematologist Clifford Pukel (Cancer and the Human Condition) will discuss and sign his book at 7 p.m. Monday at Indian Rocks City Auditorium, 1507 Bay Palm Blvd., Indian Rocks Beach.

Saint Leo University's Speaker Series presents environmentalist Janisse Ray (Drifting into Darien: A Personal and Natural History of the Altamaha River) discussing her book at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Student Community Center on campus, 33701 State Road 52, Saint Leo.

Tampa Bay Times Real Florida columnist Jeff Klinkenberg (Pilgrim in the Land of Alligators) will speak at a luncheon at noon Wednesday at Heritage Museum, 100 Beekman Lane, Tarpon Springs. Tickets $15 (includes lunch) at tarponarts.org.

The Tampa Bay History Center's Florida Conversations series presents University of South Florida St. Petersburg professor Raymond Arsenault (Freedom Riders) discussing his book and the PBS documentary based on it at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Center, 801 Old Water St., Tampa.

The Women's Resource Center presents humorist and cultural critic Gina Barreca (Babes in Boyland: A Personal History of Co-Education in the Ivy League) discussing and signing her book at a luncheon at noon Thursday at Michael's on East, 1212 East Ave., Sarasota.
