Authors and entrepreneurs Anthony Amos and Kevin Harrington (How to Catch a Shark), Pierce Brunson (Learning Curve), Elizabeth Bunbury (On the Road), James Chittenden (The Public Triumph), Gen Dobson (Failing Successfully: Life After Debt), Meredith Rodgers (What You Don't Know . . . Just Might Hurt You) and Joseph Warren (What's in It for Me?) will sign their books at a book launch party at 5 p.m. Tuesday at CoCreative, 3902 Henderson Blvd., Suite 208, Tampa.

Cousin Vinny (The Devil's Glove) will discuss and sign his novel at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

The Writers in the Preserve series concludes with "13 Ways of Looking at a City," writers, environmentalists and community advocates celebrating the natural and built environment of southern St. Petersburg, 7 p.m. Friday at Boyd Hill Nature Preserve, 1101 Country Club Way S, St. Petersburg.

Tampa Bay Times Real Florida columnist Jeff Klinkenberg (Alligators in B-Flat) will discuss and sign his book at 6 p.m. Wednesday as part of the Duckwall Lecture series at the Tampa Bay History Center, 801 Old Water St., Tampa; he will also discuss and sign his book at 3 p.m. Saturday at Riverview Branch Library, 10509 Riverview Drive.

Fox News personality Greg Gutfeld (Not Cool: The Hipster Elite and Their War on You) will sign his book at 7 p.m. Friday at Bookstore1, 1359 Main St., Sarasota.

Author and vendor applications for the 2014 Tampa Bay Times Festival of Reading, which will take place Oct. 25 at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg, are available at festivalofreading.com.
