Events: Cardiologist Peter O. Knight to discuss, sign his debut novel

Cardiologist Peter O. Knight (The Heart) will discuss and sign his debut novel at 2 p.m. today at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

Cathedral Church of St. Peter's lunchtime book talks series presents Albert Farr, English instructor at St. Petersburg College, discussing Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston at noon Tuesday at the church, 140 Fourth St. N, St. Petersburg. Free; lunch available.

Tarpon Springs arts and historical resources curator Tina Bucuvalas (The Florida Folklife Reader) will discuss her book at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Tarpon Springs Library, 138 E Lemon St.

Florida International University creative writing professor Les Standiford (Bringing Adam Home: The Abduction That Changed America) will discuss and sign his nonfiction book about the Adam Walsh kidnapping at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books.

Debora Coty (More Beauty, Less Beast: Transforming Your Inner Ogre) will discuss and sign her inspirational book at noon Saturday at Lifeway, 169 Brandon Town Center Drive, Brandon.

The Rev. T.D. Jakes (Let It Go: Forgive So You Can Be Forgiven) will sign his book at noon Saturday at Walmart, 2701 E Fletcher Ave., Tampa.

Ann O'Farrell (Norah's Children) will discuss her novels and "25 Things You Didn't Know About Ireland and St. Patrick" at 1 p.m. Saturday at Safety Harbor Public Library, 101 Second St. N.

Historian George Daughan (1812: The Navy's War) will discuss and sign his book at 3 p.m. Saturday at Haslam's Book Store, 2025 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

Dave Schaefer (Sailing to Hemingway's Cuba, Cuba Run) will sign his books at 6 p.m. Saturday at Small Adventures Book Shop, 3107 Beach Boulevard S, Gulfport.
