Events: David Swanson to discuss and sign his book at three bay area locations

David Swanson (Daybreak: Undoing the Imperial Presidency and Forming a More Perfect Union) will discuss and sign his book on political reform at 7 p.m. Monday at Unitarian Universalist Church of Tarpon Springs, 230 Grand Blvd.; at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Books-A-Million, 6591 Tamiami Trail, Sarasota; and at 7 p.m. Tuesday in Miller Auditorium, Eckerd College, 4200 54th Ave. S, St. Petersburg.

Linda Burhans (Good Night and God Bless) will talk about and sign her memoir about caregiving at 2 p.m. Thursday at Seminole Community Library, 9200 113th St. N.

Paul Abercrombie (Organic, Shaken and Stirred: Hip Highballs, Modern Martinis and Other Totally Green Cocktails) will sign his book at a launch party cohosted by Inkwood Books and Restaurant BT at 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the restaurant, 1633 W Snow Ave., Tampa.

St. Petersburg poet laureate Peter Meinke (Lines from Neuchatel) will read from his collection of poetry at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Pete Beach Library, 365 73rd Ave.; and at 2 p.m. Saturday at Haslam's Book Store, 2025 Central Ave., St. Petersburg.

Ian Vasquez (Lonesome Point, In the Heat), a copy editor at the St. Petersburg Times, will sign his books at noon Saturday at Barnes & Noble Brandon, 122 Brandon Town Center.
