Raymond Weaver (Miami Justice) will discuss and sign his novel at 2 p.m. Thursday at Dunedin Public Library, 223 Douglas Ave., and at 1 p.m. Saturday at Largo Public Library, 120 Central Park Drive.

Photographer Herb Snitzer (Glorious Days and Nights: A Jazz Memoir) will discuss and sign his book at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Museum of Fine Arts, St. Petersburg, 255 Beach Drive NE.

Award-winning investigative journalist Cynthia Barnett (Blue Revolution: Unmaking America's Water Crisis) will discuss and sign her book at 7 p.m. Thursday at Inkwood Books, 216 S Armenia Ave., Tampa.

The University of Tampa's Writers at the University series presents memoirist, reporter and fiction writer Peter Trachtenberg (The Book of Calamities: Five Questions About Suffering and Its Meaning) discussing his book at 7 p.m. Thursday at Scarfone/Hartley Gallery, 310 N Boulevard, Tampa.

Martin Gwent Lewis (Parallel Lives) will discuss and sign his novel at 4 p.m. Friday at Barnes & Noble Bookstore, 500 Third St. S, St. Petersburg.

Bestselling author Deepak Chopra (War of the Worldviews: Science vs. Spirituality) will speak on "Healing, Transformation and Higher Consciousness" and sign his books at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the David A. Straz Jr. Center for the Performing Arts, 1010 N W.C. MacInnes Place, Tampa. Tickets $34-50-$100, plus service charges; www.strazcenter.org/. Inkwood Books will sell books at the event.
